Why Do Kids Want To Make Money?

It's a question that may seem surprising, given the fact that many children today have access to a plethora of toys, gadgets, and activities.

Yet, despite this abundance, kids are still eager to earn their own money and pursue their dreams.

In fact, the reasons why kids want to make money are varied and inspiring.

After talking to 100 kids and got some awesome answers!

One kid said he wanted to buy a lock for his room to keep his pesky little sister from taking his things 😆.

Another was saving up for college so he could become a doctor, lawyer, or even a dinosaur scientist (seriously, how cool is that?!).

Then there was the kid who wanted to explore the universe with a fancy telescope, while another was dreaming of saving up for a trip to the moon or even Mars (yep, you can book your space travel now!) 🚀.

Some kids just wanted to buy some candy or art supplies, while others were more ambitious, like the one who wanted to attract coins with a giant magnet and become rich (hey, it could happen!)💰.

And of cause there are obvious reasons, like getting an iPhone or MacBook to make YouTube videos and commercials shows, or simply chat with friends.

One kid wanted to make money so he can pay his teacher to stay at home instead of coming to school.

Haha...🤑

Creativity comes in many shapes and sizes.

And we can't forget about the kid who just wanted a pet pig, but his dad wouldn't let them have one (major bummer!).

But why are kids so determined to earn their own money?

Did you like asking your parents for money when you were a kid?

Exactly!👍

Nobody likes asking for money.

But that's not all!

Saving up for a telescope or space travel shows that they're curious about the world around them and have an interest in science and astronomy.

Needing a new bike or set of Legos means they're growing and need to upgrade their equipment to keep enjoying their hobbies.

It's clear that kids today have big dreams and aspirations, and making money is a way to help them achieve those goals.

So, they don't want to make money for the sake of money, but for what money can buy!

Many kids are inspired by successful entrepreneurs and want to follow in their footsteps.

Get this - a recent survey found that over 40% of American teens are planning to start their own business someday!

That's right, these kids are fired up about making bank and carving out their own path in life.

Making money can give them a sense of independence, responsibility, and accomplishment.

Plus, let's be real - it's pretty sweet to have some extra cash in your pocket.

But it's not just about the money🤫.

Children are constantly bombarded with images of wealthy celebrities who have achieved success through their financial prowess.

It's no wonder that many kids aspire to have similar levels of wealth and status.

On top of that, kids often have their own personal goals and dreams that require money.

Whether it's saving up for a new gadget or putting away cash for a future expense, the desire to make money is simply a means to an end.

As children grow up and become more aware of the world around them, they start to understand the value of money and the role it plays in society.

Max joined My Kid Entrepreneur Club in November, 2022.

He is a kid who has passion for technology and a dream of creating his own toys and gadgets using a 3D printer.

Max knew that 3D printers were expensive, but he was determined to make his dream a reality.
