When our son started his first business selling flowers we didn’t even envision all the great things that would lead to…
that he would invest that money and build his own market portfolio at the age of 6…
that he would develop this swagger that only comes with being financially independent…
that he would buy his little sister, his friends and even us gifts.
And most importantly, that he would now be so interested in what it takes to be successful in the long term!
The best thing that happened when Sky started making his own money is this shift from us wanting to talk to him about important things, from investing to making a difference in the world or simply helping people, to him being interested in these things and asking us questions about them instead…
And when he started his first business, we were super excited… and we wanted to build on that momentum, and really get him excited about Entrepreneurship and what it could do for him.
So, like every good parent does, we took out our credit card and we bought every resource available for kid entrepreneurs and… frankly none of it was good.
